lake Sentani

Lake Sentani, which has an area of about 9360 hectares, and located at an altitude of + 75 meters above sea level (asl) is one of the largest lake in Papua, with 21 small islands adorn this beautiful lake. This lake is part of Cyclops Nature Reserve which has an area of about 245,000 hectares. There are 29 species of freshwater fish and three of them are native species of Lake Sentani. One of them is fish Cork, Sentani lake species are not native to this area or any other country in the world.

To reach this area can be traveled by plane from the outer island of Papua, because the only airport in Jayapura Sentani district lies in this, and if we are in Jayapura we can ride (public transportation) several times to get to the Sentani district, in trip to the area you will pass through the hills of beautiful scenery as well as in the Sky land
